Old historical center is located on a small island between the island of Čiovo and land, while connected with the other part by a stone bridge. Town area is spread on the northern coast of Čiovo, opposite the small island. Main economic branch is shipbuilding, tobacco, farmaceutical industry and tourism.

It is situated on the coastal road (M2, E65). Airport "Split" is in Resnik. Marina Trogir is located on the northern coast of Čiovo, between the bridge of Trogir and cape Čubrijan.
